I’ll let you in on a secret. I’ll tell you what I’m getting my soul mate and mother-of-my-children this year for Valentine’s Day. Maybe it’s a gift idea that will work for you. I know it’s going to work for me.

The other day while I was packing away the Christmas stuff in the garage I found a metal photo storage case containing photos from twenty years ago when I was still traveling the world for a news agency. In it I found a color photo taken one afternoon in a Paris café; my wife sitting at the table and me leaning over her shoulder, both of us smiling at the friend snapping the photo. The checkered tablecloth, the chestnut tree, a Paris street in the background:  a perfect photograph to have made into a watercolor. 

 

I’ll scan the photo into my computer, upload it to www.paintyourlife.com  and order the size and frame that will look best over my wife’s worktable in the corner of the kitchen. I know she’ll love it.
